Covid Update

Well its been a rough few months in the Covid department.  Numbers are worst than ever.  Thankfully our family of four has stayed healthy, but we have now known many people who have unfortunately had the Coronoa virus.  I first learned that two people at my work had it.  We had to close our school for two weeks.  All staff members were tested.  It was very difficult to find a place who would test me quickly (with no symptoms) and then the wait for the results was extremely stressful and anxiety producing.  It definitely made we realize what a domino effect this virus can have.  I was so stressed about the people we had been in contact with and having to tell them I may have infected them.

Shortly after that I found out that both of Kristin's parents had it, followed by my step Dad and a few other acquaintances.

We have really buckled down and aren't seeing friends or family unless we are all outside and wearing masks.  We haven't been to a restaurant or played on park equipment since March.

The vaccine came out at the end of December which was a huge relief.  It is not being distributed nearly as quickly as they had hoped, but we are staying positive.  We are happy for our nurse friends and family that have already received their first dose.

There is talked about reopening schools in Edmonds for K-2 in February, but no final decision yet.  The kids are surviving online learning but it is a struggle.

We are hopeful as we look to 2021.
