Christmas 2012

Colbie loved everything about the Holiday Season.  It was so fun to see her get excited about Santa, Christmas trees, sweets, and of course presents.  Evey gift she opened she would say "what is it?" and before she could see what was inside, she would say "oooooo, cool!"  She was easily pleased and loved all her gifts (and her cousin Ryder's unfortunately).  Colbie's favorite gifts included her babies and baby related things, her new potty seat and potty book.

We missed spending time with Jon's family, but were grateful to spend time with my family and not have to travel on Christmas day.

Holiday Cheer

Although we have had a rough month (found out Jon has Type 1 Diabetes, we have mice, a flat tire for Colbie and I, and the flu for the whole family).  We have managed to do a few holiday activities!

"Ever Ever" Dance Video

Colbie can't get enough music lately.  Her new favorite song is by Taylor Swift.

20 Months

Colbie gets more fun with age.  Love her to pieces.  Here is a little about our funny little girl at 20 months.

-Loves the songs: Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye and We are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift.  She asks constantly for "Somebody" and "Ever, Ever" and when she hears it she dances and sings her heart out.
-Amazes me with her language.  Says 4+ word sentences.  Told me "share mommy" when I took something away from her.
-Recently had a nasty flu (we all did) and handle it like a champ.
-Is getting good at puzzles, starting to learn colors, and has asked to sit on the potty a few times.
-Loves music, school, outside, new adventures, jewelry, pony tails, bows, shoes, books and babies.  Pushes a baby around in a wheel chair at school which I love.
-Continues to be a picky, light eater
-Loves all things Christmas (other than getting too close to the real Santa).  Asks to turn on the tree as soon as she wakes up every morning
-Says "Purrrr" every time I open the front door (she means brrr), which cracks me up.

Loves all accessories

"Big Girl"

For about 4ish months Colbie has referred to herself as "big girl."  She will attempt and say any other word we ask of her but refuses to say Colbie.  When we ask "where is Colbie?" she points to herself. She definitely knows her name, but anytime we ask her to say Colbie she replies proudly "big girl."  While not taking a nap yesterday I caught her saying Colbie over and over again.  Little stinker, she says it perfectly but apparently has been keeping it to herself=)  Sorry nothing fun to see on the video just her cute little voice.

Decorating for Christmas

Colbie loved picking out a tree and helping decorate for Christmas.  Our tree has very few ornaments towards the bottom to avoid little fingers, but we are enjoying the smell of a real tree for the first time in a few years.

Thanksgiving 2012

We were grateful to not have to travel this Thanksgiving but still spend time with family.  Jon's family came to visit and Colbie loved all the attention and activities.  She was pretty sick with a nasty cold so we were both happy to have helpers and distractions.  We had a low key Thanksgiving at our house filled with cooking, eating and football.  Friday night Jon and I had a night away while Paul, Debbie and Michelle took care of Colbie.  It was amazing, thanks so much Annett Family=)  On Saturday we spent the day at Bellevue Square Mall.  We had dinner at Z'Tejas to celebrate Jon and Paul's birthdays, then went to Snowflake Lane to kick off the Christmas Season.
