Pretty Pretty Princess

Colbie has been very interested in Princesses and Ballerinas lately.  She enjoys dressing up, spinning like a ballerina, wearing as much jewelry as possible, and notices when anyone is wearing a tutu.  How do they learn this so early???

Shirts are optional when you're this cute:)

This pic is from awhile ago, but so cute!  Charlotte, Hope, and Colbie

Gama Deb and Papa Paul

Recently Jon's parents came to visit and we had such a great time.  The past few times they have come to visit, Colbie has been really sick.  We were so grateful she was feeling well.  Also we had amazing weather.  We enjoyed a day at Green Lake, a trip to the Cougar Mountain Zoo, lots of eating out and a mostly successful Church service.

EEU Auction

Jon and I had a great time at the EEU Auction.  After hearing about the auction from Beth for many years I was very excited to attend.  We are so grateful to be a part of this amazing school and enjoyed every minute of this event.  Colbie even made a few appearances in the adorable slide show.

Thanks so much "Gama" for watching Colbie, she had a great time!

Of course Colbie wanted to be in the picture

I had a great Mothers Day thanks to my amazing husband.  He made Chocolate chip/strawberry waffles for breakfast, we spent time as a family at Happy Nest Play Center, I did some kid free shopping, and we had an amazing dinner.  I  Love my family so much and very grateful for such a thoughtful husband and amazing daughter!

Naked Bike Riding

Colbie does not steer well and needs a little push to get started, but I'm pretty proud this little lady learned to ride her bike this weekend!

Dentist

Colbie's 2 year dentist appointment was a huge success.  It was her first appointment without tears (we have been 4 times), she loved the sunglasses they let her wear, and she does NOT having any missing teeth (which they told me was a possibility at our last appointment).  Colbie is currently cutting her two year molars, which marks the end of teething, hurray!!  The bad news, the two year molars have been a real pain and Colbie has her fingers and or entire hands in her mouth constantly, which is driving me crazy.

No more naps???

About one week after turning two, Colbie decided she no longer needs a nap.  Of course I am no where near ready for this to happen!  Unfortunately Colbie has a mind of her own and I have little control over her sleep patterns.  If I wait until 2pm to lay her down then there's a chance she will fall asleep by 3pm.  Then I have to wake her up no later than 4 (otherwise she doesn't go to bed until 9:30ish).  Currently she naps 2 out of 3 days, the inconsistency is driving me a little nuts.  I am thankful that everyday she will still "rest" for an hour in her crib and so far is mostly content for that hour.

At least her "rest time" is educational.  She is counting to 11 in this baby monitor video, not sure why she is talking in a deep man voice.

Caterpillar

We've found many caterpillars on our porch the past few days and it makes Colbie very happy.  We have even been bringing them in the house (in an open Tupperware with leaves ).  She watches it and holds it gently and then we put it back outside about 30 min later.

Im very glad she is no longer afraid of them.  I found this adorable, but sad video of her from last summer.
