Rosella and Strep B

It has been a rough few weeks for Colbie (and Mommy).  About three days after recovering from Rosella which entails a high fever followed by a nasty rash, Colbie got sick once again.  Her fever started off at 105, which of course made me panic!  Her fever ranged from 102-105 (lower when on ibuprofen).  The weekend included a trip to Urgent Care, many naps on Mommy and trying to visit with Jon's parents who were in town.  She was given antibiotics for a very swollen throat and started feeling better pretty quickly after.  Other than her appetite, she is back to herself and we are sooooo glad!  Now our only challenge is to get her to take her antibiotics twice a day.  Literally we have to pin her down and shove it down her throat, while she chokes and attempts to spit it out.  Parenthood is so much fun=)

Sick little girl.  She watched A LOT of TV

2 days after antibiotics, feeling much better (lost 1 pound in a week)

22 Months

Colbie recently had Rosella, so we had a rough week!  She is back to her spunky self which we are grateful for.  I can't believe she is nearing two years old.  This girl just gets more fun with age.

-Still wants to be held whenever I will allow it
-Has a very short attention span
-Definitely more interested in any kids TV, but still prefers Doodlebops and Monsters Inc.
-Often pretends she is a cat
-Constantly carries her purse and my old keys around.  Pretends to drive and usually says she is going to work or Target=)
-Constantly points out colors and loves to point out "Green Light, Go"!
-Sings often.  Favorite songs: ABC's, Everybody Have a Seat, Elevator Song from school, and "Twinkle Star" which she sings to her babies while rocking and patting them.
-Dislikes: Baths (mostly getting her hair washed), the car, being outside if it's cold, and getting her diaper changed
-Likes: Animals, going to school, being read to, music/dancing/singing, playing hide and seek with Daddy, Hello Kitty, Elmo, Dora, stickers and stamps, accessories, phones, potty chair (no success yet), purses, babies, pretending to take pictures and watching videos of herself.

Valentines Day

Colbie has had a slight fever and been pretty crabby for the past few days, so our Valentines Day was very low key.  She also took a small tumble and got a fat lip and red mark on her forehead, poor girl. She did enjoy her gifts at least.
My little Valentine =)

Opening her bear card from Great Grandma and Grandpa Case

Opening Pajamas from Mom and Dad

Her favorite gift, a Dora camera.  For some reason she holds it
above her head like this every time she takes a picture.  And of course says "cheese."
Colbie loved her gifts from the grandparents.  Hello Kitty lunch box and stickers from my mom
and the cute bow outfit and some stuffed animals from Jon's parents.

Enjoying her gifts

Scooter Ride

We recently signed up for the Indoor Playground at Renton Community Center and it has been a huge success.  I'm really impressed with all the toys and space available for the kids.  Also most of the kids are near Colbie's age which she has really enjoyed.  Today she took her first ride on a scooter and was surprisingly good at it!
