Tamia and Kinsley

It was so fun to have Tamia and Kinsley come visit!  They stayed with us for one night and all though the kids kept us super busy it was so fun to meet Kinsley, see Tamia as a mom and catch up.  Kinsley reminds me so much of Colbie, is was fun to compare stories (both good and bad).  Tamia is such an awesome Mom.  We really wish they lived closer!  Colbie loved baby Kinsley and continues to talk about her.  We hope they come back soon.

Took some time, but Kinsley let me hold her a few times without crying:)

Big Sister!

That's right, Colbie is going to be a big sister and she is pretty excited about it!  We are happy to announce our new baby is due on January 25th.  Colbie loves talking to baby (my belly), patting it, and even reading it stories.  She is definitely going to be a mini mom I can tell already.  I adore the way she is reacting to the news!  At first she was sure it was a brother, but lately switches back and forth.

We read her new Big Sister book all the time!

First Trimester:  I was definitely more nauseous than I was with Colbie, but still can't complain.  Most days if I ate very often I felt fine.  I have had lots of headaches, couldn't drink coffee and grew much quicker this time around!  I'm happy to be past the first trimester and give up on hiding my baby bump.

12.5 weeks.  Not a great belly shot, but I love how Colbie snuck into the picture :)

13.5 week ultrasound pics:
Baby was moving a ton during our ultrasound, it was so fun to watch.  Grabbing it's toes, waving, sucking its thumb, kicking.  So amazing!

Minnesota Trip

We had a great time in Minnesota.  Colbie loved staying at Grandma and Grandpa's house, handled the time change well, and really enjoyed all the fun activities they planned for us.  We went to the Mall of America, where Colbie shockingly enjoyed kiddie rides and getting to meet Dora and Diego.  We also went to a fun zoo where we could see the animals super close up.  Although the plane ride there was exhausting for Jon and I, Colbie liked the plane and was only a bit nervous on the landing (I was too, it was a terrible landing).  Thanks so much for having us Grandma Deb and Grandpa Paul!!

Watching the planes before leaving Seattle

How we thought she would spend her time on the plane, but only watched a movie for 15 min and didn't sleep at all.

How she spent the plane ride home after a little Dramamine, don't judge:)

Back to School-Toddlers

We are very excited school's back in session.  Colbie did great on her first day back to school with a new classroom, new teachers and new friends.  She has graduated from Tweenies and is now in the Toddler class.  We are happy to have BFF Charlotte in our class again!  I'm sad I didn't get a pic of them together today, they were too busy.

Water Park

Jon and Colbie signed up for "Splash and Play" at a nearby water park and it's been lots of fun.  Every Saturday before the park opens a group of toddlers and their parents get to enjoy the pool.  It's been great Daddy-Daughter time.  This week my sister, her kids, and my mom joined us.  Nichole, Wynn and I enjoyed relaxing in the sun, while Jon and Grandma swam with Colbie and Ryder.

Monsters University

We took Colbie to her first theater movie, Monsters University.  She was super excited and may have loved the idea of it a bit more than the actual movie.  She did enjoy it, but had a hard time sitting still (typical 2 year old I guess).  She had the largest meltdown ever after the movie unfortunately and we realized that perhaps no nap, a movie during dinner time, too many M&M's, and sitting still for 2+ hours may have been a bad combo.  Oh well, better luck next time!

Fourth of July

We went to a BBQ on the water with Jon's friend Aaron and his family.  There were lots of kids Colbie's age and she had so much fun!  She ran around in the large grassy area, played ball, waded in the water, through rocks into the water over and over and even did some dancing with friends (nearby neighbors had a live band playing).  This allowed Jon and I to have adult conversations and eat mostly uninterrupted!  We did not stay for fireworks since Colbie hadn't napped, but loved the day spent with friends and were grateful for the invitation.

Enjoyed her first and second ever juice box, she wouldn't put it down!

Sunshine Love

Colbie definitely shares my love for summer time.  We have had amazing weather so far this summer and we are in heaven!

It's not summer time without a melting Popsicle:)
