Ouch!

Poor Baby.  Colbie had her first big Ouch this week.  When she wakes up she always snuggles her pile of stuffed animals in her bedroom.  She went full force to jump on/snuggle the animals and landed her head into the corner of her bookshelf instead.  Guess we should move the animals away from the book shelf=(.  She recovered quickly with a little extra paci time and watching a little Doodlebops.  I think it was harder on me then her!

The Gang

Colbie will be spending lots of time with these kiddos.  It's super fun to have friends in town that have kids close in age to Colbie.  Sarah, Beth, Katie and I got together for a play date this week and we were shocked that all 6 kids sat long enough for the photo!
Colbie, Charlotte, Nora, Finn, Brody and Desmond.  All three years and under.

The girls.  It was Charlotte's actual birthday=)

We were a little off nap schedule for the play date so Colbie was a bit tired.
She thought Charlotte looked pretty cozy to snuggle =)

Happy Birthday Charlotte

Colbie's buddy Charlotte turned one this month and we had a blast at her birthday party.  It had lots of Colbie's favorite things: kids, water, bubbles, dogs, and it was outside at a park.  Happy Birthday Charlotte, we look forward to spending many more birthdays together!

BFF's!  Colbie 16 months, Nora 14 months, and Charlotte one!

Birthday Balloons

I also included a few photos of Colbie enjoying Charlotte's cat, Buster.  Colbie LOVED Buster and the poor cat handled the torture so well.

Note the size difference, this is one large cat=)

Snuggles with Buster

Hi Buster!

Complete torture, poor kitty.  I think Colbie thinks she can lift him.

16 months

I am so amazed at how much Colbie learns each and every day!  Here is a little about her at 16 months.

-Has new words constantly.  Some of my new favorites are "oh no, ah man, gentle (which she says in a whisper voice), noes and toes, and hop, hop, hop.  Her favorites are "all done, no no no, and up"
-Is getting better about saying bye to mommy and hanging out with family/friends!!!
-Still loves animals (can say most animal sounds).  Also loves dancing/music, outside, water, climbing, slides, and any new environment
-Uses a bowl and spoon/fork pretty well
-Loves accessories and shoes, especially her flip flops
-Enjoys putting things in and out, getting on and off, and opening and closing all things!
-Does not eat well and it drives me crazy, also hates getting her diaper changed
-Has a short attention span with toys, would rather be out exploring
-Enjoys pretend play with her baby and stuffed animals, she even shares her paci with them when she wakes up in the morning

She loves the bath

She loves the park

School Update

The summer session at the EEU has come to an end and we are so sad.  Mostly because after 5 weeks (10 classes) Colbie is just now starting to enjoy her time at school instead of crying/whining the entire 1.5 hours!  I hope the transition back to school in late September goes well.  Here are a few pictures from her last days of summer school.

Water Baby

Colbie and I have really enjoyed the sunshine.  She loves everything to do with being outside, especially playing in the water!

Filling up the little pool

She does enjoy the big pool also, but tends to want to get in and out over and over again

She loves slides!

She also enjoys that during the heat she gets lots of naked time

Dancing Machine

Colbie is loving kids music!  She can't keep herself from dancing like crazy every time she hears it.  Her favorites are Itsy Bitsy Spider (still) and Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.  As you can see in the video she also enjoys the ABC's.
