Some Fun!

Covid Update

The craziness continues.  We are in full swing of work and online learning and it makes for an exhausting day for us all.  A little about how our day/schedule currently goes.

At 6:30am Jon and I both get up.  Jon takes the dog for a walk and I get ready for work and get Ashton ready for the day.  I leave every day by 7:30.  I get home from work at 12:30, when I start both kids on zooms promptly while shoving some lunch down their throats.

Jon is in his office most days from 7:30am-6pm he tries to set aside time to walk the dog and/or work with Colbie on her home alone days.

Ashton comes to Bloom with me and is in the K-1st split class Mondays and Wednesdays.  These days Colbie is pretty much on her own at home.  Mrs. Audrey who we hired to help with online learning is here with both kids Tuesday, Thursday and every other Friday from 8-12:30.  Thank God for her, she is the best!  She is so great! we absolutely couldn't do it with out her!

School runs from 9-3/3:30. Most days Colbie pretty much works or is on zoom that entire time with a 30 minute lunch break.  Ashton's thankfully is less intense, but still challenging for him.  He has a hard time sitting still and staying focused.

Add a puppy to the mix who is getting significantly less attention now that I'm at work and kids are doing school and you can imagine the chaos that's happening at our house!

We are making it work and just keep telling ourselves this is only temporary!

Annetts Visit Finally!

It was a long 10 months before we got to see Jon's parents due to covid.  It was so great to see them, the kids were in heaven!  They even brought some fun activities to do with the kids which was great!

Back to School Photos

Back to School looks ALOT different this year.  When Colbie asked me if we could still go back to school clothes shopping (which she loves), I said yes!  I want them to have some fun leading up to this crazy school year.  So they each picked out one outfit.  Even though Colbie is mostly a leggings and t-shirt kind of girl she does enjoy dressing up for special occasions.  She picked out a sparkly skirt, unicorn leggings and shirt, and a sparkly pair of high tops.  Ashton usually picks clothes based fully on comfort so I was very surprised when he picked jeans, a belt, and a tie.  He rocked his cute outfit, but it is really hard to capture his natural smile lately.
