No More Naps

Ashy has decided he doesn't want to nap anymore.  He has been doing quiet time for about two weeks now.  Some days are better than others.  Overall he stays in his room fairly well, still goes to bed at the same time and isn't too tired.

Family Photos

I was a bit disappointed when it poured down rain during our scheduled family photo session, but was amazed at the results.  I love all our pictures by Jenn Reese Photography!  Kids did great (with some bribing) and I am so happy we decided to do pictures this year!

Colbie's Wonderful Week

Each kid in Colbie's class gets a "Wonderful Week."   This week was Colbie's special week, which included being the line leader, the teachers special helper, a fabulous chair to sit in, getting to bring a display and describe 10 special pictures and bringing other special items from home.

Mrs. Spengler also welcomes the family to come in and the child interviews someone.  Colbie interviewed Jon.  Grandma Deb came from Minnesota to join us.  The entire thing was so cute and special.  Colbie loved having us all there and getting to call-on her classmates for questions about herself and her Daddy.  They also sang her a "You're Wonderful" song.  I may have got a bit teary.....

I'm so thankful for my WONDERFUL girl and a teacher who really goes above and beyond for her students.

Colbie also got to bring a special stuffed animal home for the week.  Francesca the Frog comes with a bag full of clothes/accessories and books.  Total win!

Trick Or Treat

Ashton was not into dressing up this year.  He wore his mask for a few pictures but that was it.  So his costume consisted of a Batman sweatshirt and black cape.  Both kids loved trick or treating!  They were just as impressed with the costumes/activity in downtown Edmonds as they were with getting candy!  They were also totally spoiled by our neighbors and got actual gifts!

We receive a lot of notes from Colbie lately (she's learning to sound out words, such a fun stage).  This is one of my favorite notes so far.

Halloween Party

The kids had so much fun at Charlotte and Henry's Halloween Party!  It was jam packed with fun: lunch, cookie decorating, mummy wrapping, dance party, Halloween show, arts/crafts and a costume contest!
