I can’t believe Colbie was not supposed to arrive until today! The past three weeks have been incredible. Although Jon and I are very exhausted and sleep deprived, it’s all worth it. We love Colbie so much and can’t imagine life without her already. Having her early was stressful but I am grateful it’s over with and that Colbie is already here and healthy.
Here are a few personality traits of our little bundle of joy:
*She has endless facial expressions while sleeping, it is so fun to watch, our favorite is the half smile, just one corner of her mouth turns up and she appears so happy.
*She likes running water which allows me to shower each day which I am very thankful for
*She hates being cold, having her diaper or clothes changed, and enjoys peeing when her diaper is off
*Loves baths
*She is starting to make eye contact, engage more, and enjoy looking at and grabbing for toys
*Doesn’t mind tummy time and has a very strong neck
*Almost never cries but grunts very often (when hungry, stretching, when she has gas, and even in her sleep)
*Her favorite place to sleep is on Dads chest
*Loves going places, just a car ride will do
*She enjoys snacking like her Dad (she eats smaller amounts every hour or hour and a half). We hope this changes soon!
*She finally fits into Newborn clothes and weighed 6.10 at her 2 week appointment
*Everyone says she looks like Jon, she definitely has his dimple chin
Here are a few pictures from the first three weeks of her life!
I can't wait to see her -- or you -- again! She's already changed so much! Sorry I didn't email you on Sunday, but I meant to say happy first Mother's day!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love checking in on you guys! Thanks for blogging for all of us....especially we so far away. I especially liked seeing you, Jamie, on this post. You look wonderful. And Colbie, well, she is precious, a miracle!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, love, and kisses for Colbie's little feet,
Grandma Lou
