24 weeks

Pros: Headaches are gone, acne and back pain has improved, baby is very active (Colbie and Jon were able to feel him at 20 weeks).  Colbie continues to be excited about my growing belly and has been coming up with names (we have not).  A few of her favorites are grunya, rat-a-tat and most recently she calls him baby boy.
Cons: Getting big, harder to carry/hold Colbie, having trouble sleeping.  Met with a specialist about the possibility of delivering early.  They informed me that there's a 60% chance I will deliver early again and not much to do about it.  Yikes, could be a Christmas baby!

Big Girl Room

Colbie could not wait to move her bedroom upstairs by Mommy and Daddy and sleep in a new big girl bed.  She "helped" paint her new room light pink and loved picking out big girl bedding.  She does not sleep under the covers or on the pillow but loves her new bed and actually asks to go to nap/bed.  We are on day 5 and she's doing great!  She has only gotten out of bed for a few brief moments and has not come out of the room at all.  She spends much time jumping on the bed, looking out the window and putting her stuffed animals in timeout, but she's in the bed:)  There were some tears in the middle of the night the first two nights, but since then she hasn't made a beep.  I am fully aware that the newness will wear off and things could change at any time, but for now I am very proud of my big girl!

A very excited girl! Prepping to paint.

20 weeks

We are very excited about adding a baby boy to our family!!  Colbie new it was a boy from the beginning but EVERYONE else thought we'd have another girl.  We couldn't be happier, Jon and I feel so lucky to get to experience both genders.  Our 20 week ultrasound showed a very healthy baby which is the most important thing.  We look forward to meeting you little man and be prepared that there will be lots of football in your future:)

Remlinger Farm

We went to Remlinger Farm over Labor Day weekend and had so much fun.  We were shocked at how adventurous Colbie was.  She went on rides we never thought she would go on and even did a few by herself.  It was so fun to see her try new things!

Riding a pony

She kept saying "its bumpy Mommy, but I really like it!"

She's still cautious around animals.  The only animal she wanted to pet was this baby Alpaca, it was really cute.

Train Ride

Boat ride all by herself

This ride went surprisingly fast, I couldn't believe she didn't ask to get right off.

Pumpkin ride with Daddy

Horse ride #2

She even volunteered to go on stage during the kids concert.

Her Hero

Daddy is definitely Colbie's hero lately.  Each morning when I get her out of bed she asks "is it a Daddy stay home day today" and when I say "no," she reassures herself and says "its okay, Daddy will be home for dinner, right Mommy?"  She cant wait for Daddy to get home from work each day and gets so excited on the weekends when the three of us do things together.  I never thought the day would come when I would hear, "no Mommy, I want Daddy to do it." and although it breaks my heart a tiny bit I am so grateful for the bond these two share and am so grateful Colbie has such an amazing Daddy!

Lunch date with Daddy.
They enjoyed throwing rocks into the water, wading, and watching the airplanes land on the water

Potty Training

I see this view often lately.  We have started the joyful process of potty training.  Colbie has spent about four hours per day in underwear the past two weeks and is doing great!  She has had a few damp panties due to holding it too long, but has had no real accidents.  She initiates and tells us when she needs to go, but needs privacy to do so (we often pretend to go get something and leave the  bathroom).  She even did well at my moms house this weekend and has warn underwear on a few outings, which has been successful.  We have yet to concur using a public bathroom or pooping in the potty, we are trying those out this week and spending all awake time in underwear.
