It has been a VERY busy start to the school year: soccer, football, social events, and lots of homework. So after school one day we skipped sports and headed to the beach for ice cream, sunshine, waves and a beautiful sunset!

Back to School Photos
Colbie started High School this year. She is a freshman at Meadowdale HS. Ashton has his final year at Edmonds Elementary as a 6th grader. Colbie is up and out of the house before I wake up so she took her own photos on the first day. What a good daughter!

Baby Rainn
Bailey and John welcomed their adorable baby boy on 8/8. He is a big boy who loves to eat and is already loved by so many! We were excited to go visit him and snuggle him! We also fit in a trip to the Vancouver Market and the kids had a great time rummaging through Ahma and Hapa's closet playing Dress to Impress in different themes. Ashton and Hope even joined in the second night. Themes pictured included: Wedding, Circus and Gangsta.
idiopathic subglottic stenosis
Well after nearly 8 years of thinking I have asthma I found out I have a very rare condition called idiopathic subglottic stenosis. Which means I have an extremely small breathing airway. After getting sick in December my breathing got really bad (my family called me Darth Vader) which made be get an appointment with a pulmonologist. Who found out my lungs were fine and then sent me to an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor. The doctor was able to put a small tube up my nose and down my throat to my breathing path and get a photo and diagnose the problem. I am so thankful to this doctor! I had surgery in July where he lasered away inflammation, dilated the area, and gave me a steroid injection. And although the anesthesia is a nightmare for me I am so thankful for the surgery. It has been truly life changing. I can breathe again, and workout! And no more inhaler.

Chip and Dale
We only fostered Chip and Dale for two weeks, they were three month old kitties with a cold. They have recovered and are now ready to be adopted into their forever homes.
