Colbie's 5th Birthday Party

Colbie had a unicorn themed birthday party at Alderwood Dance Studio.  What else could a five year old girl want? She had a great time dancing, playing with friends and cousins, and eating cupcakes! She was glowing and totally in her element!  I love the dance pictures, so much cuteness!

Family Birthday

Colbie was very excited to plan her special day with just the four of us. She was awake and in her party dress by 6am. She choose a trip to the zoo, a sundae at red robin and watching a movie. We all really enjoyed the day.  She was so happy! 

She also had a birthday celebration at school which Ashton enjoyed as much as she did (he didn't want to leave). 

Colbie 5

Our sweet baby girl is 5.  She is our cheerful, sensitive, sassy, stubborn, very social, definite leader. We love her more than words can describe!

-Loves to learn, can not wait for Kindergarten and asks about a billion questions a day.  Is curious about everything and also a bit nosy
-Very competitive and has recently shown she has quite the temper
-Still needy (often follows me around the house) but when encouraged plays well independently and with Ashton
-Loves her brother to pieces, is such a good big sister who can't resist kissing his cheeks constantly
-Loves all things social and being with friends, being outside, puzzles, TV (especially Paw Patrol), art, card games, reading, and likes to collect (hoard) everything!
-Still very attached to her blankie and puppy
-Eating is a total waste of time to her
-Has a strong personality; confident, always stands up for herself/gets her needs met and makes connections with other kids very easily.

This makes sending her off to full-day Kindergarten much easier...however it still makes me sad that time has come so quickly!
