Her Hero

Daddy is definitely Colbie's hero lately.  Each morning when I get her out of bed she asks "is it a Daddy stay home day today" and when I say "no," she reassures herself and says "its okay, Daddy will be home for dinner, right Mommy?"  She cant wait for Daddy to get home from work each day and gets so excited on the weekends when the three of us do things together.  I never thought the day would come when I would hear, "no Mommy, I want Daddy to do it." and although it breaks my heart a tiny bit I am so grateful for the bond these two share and am so grateful Colbie has such an amazing Daddy!

Lunch date with Daddy.
They enjoyed throwing rocks into the water, wading, and watching the airplanes land on the water

Potty Training

I see this view often lately.  We have started the joyful process of potty training.  Colbie has spent about four hours per day in underwear the past two weeks and is doing great!  She has had a few damp panties due to holding it too long, but has had no real accidents.  She initiates and tells us when she needs to go, but needs privacy to do so (we often pretend to go get something and leave the  bathroom).  She even did well at my moms house this weekend and has warn underwear on a few outings, which has been successful.  We have yet to concur using a public bathroom or pooping in the potty, we are trying those out this week and spending all awake time in underwear.

16 weeks

I finally have more energy and am able to drink regular coffee again!  Although I'm still having headaches (not as many), acne, my hair is falling out and have been getting mouth soars.  Isn't pregnancy fun?

First Camping Trip

Other than the lack of sleep for Colbie, our first camping trip was a huge success.  Unfortunately I don't have many pics; we stayed super busy and were only there for one night.  We went to Mayfield Lake where my grandparents have a cabin.  I spent much time there as a child and it was so fun to bring Colbie.  We got to see the large Ryan side of the family and enjoyed spending quality time with Grandpa Mike and Grandma Joleen.  Thanks for feeding us and lending us your camper so us girls (Nichole, Wynn, Colbie and I) didn't have to sleep in a tent.  Colbie and Ryder loved being outside, playing in the dirt/trees (they were filthy), fishing down at the water, and riding on the boat.

Its not camping without messy watermelon.  I have never seen my child this messy!

With the help of Uncle Casey, Ryder caught a real fish.  He was very proud.
